ST.LEO

A contemporary brand expression for St. Leo, where Scandinavian craftsmanship meets the art of tactile, premium finishes.

Challenge
St. Leo needed a designer who could cover their needs from the creation of technical materials to customer-facing communication. This included everything from colour books, sample kits, and product labels to printed material, digital assets, and updates to their website.
Solution
Across two years of collaboration, I shaped and expanded St. Leo’s visual world into a cohesive, scalable brand system. I designed all key technical materials – paint and plaster samples, colour books, labels, and product documentation – while also producing the full spectrum of communication assets, including brochures, packaging, digital content, and website updates. Many of these deliverables required deep material research and ongoing collaboration with suppliers to ensure accuracy, tactility, and high-quality production. The result was a unified brand expression that strengthened St. Leo’s identity, enhanced the clarity of their product communication, and anchored a premium aesthetic across every physical and digital communication.

About the company

Inspired by culture and derived from nature, St. Leo creates premium, tactile finishes that elevate architectural spaces. Established in Denmark in 2019, the brand draws upon Scandinavian heritage and craftsmanship to produce contemporary paints and plasters from the finest minerals, with a focus on tactility and understated elegance.

A key part of the work involved designing flexible, in-house–printable product assets that balanced practicality with St. Leo’s premium aesthetic. Because paints and plasters were often mixed to order, the material often needed to be produced internally, on demand, with variable product information. I developed a graphic system that ensured the brand’s high-quality feel, despite the constraints of in-house printing.
